Deep Purple in Rock by Deep Purple, from 1970
First album for the lineup composed of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice
A great and highly influential success for the hard rock and heavy metal genres, of which it represents one of the earliest examples.

A revolutionary sound, that early heavy metal and hard rock, with an aggressive style revolving around Ritchie Blackmore's guitar riffs, Jon Lord's Hammond organ, and Ian Gillan's powerful voice.

It contains tracks that everyone, even those not passionate about the genre, inevitably knows, we're talking about Speed King and the masterpiece Child in Time

A wild album that is a must for classic rock and metal fans, with its riffs and pioneering sound that shifts the band's sound from psychedelia and blues-rock to a harder one, a precursor to what would later be called heavy metal.

Blackmore's fast and precise guitar is at the center of the album along with Jon Lord's Hammond organ, together with the vocal power, the high-pitched and aggressive screams of Ian Gillan.
Completing the band is an always too underrated rhythm section that is, for me, exceptional, the great Roger Glover with his monstrous bass and an immense Ian Paice "at the drums!"
Jon Lord's organ influenced the development of progressive metal in many later bands.

Some notes on the tracks:
- Speed King, power and energy together with fast and aggressive guitar riffs.
- Bloodsucker, with a spectacular riff and a hard sound
- Child in Time a true masterpiece, with Ian Gillan's splendid rising screams and a legendary guitar solo, one of Deep Purple's best works.
- Hard Lovin' Man very intense, by some classified as "proto-speed metal" with a wonderful organ part.
The tracks are all credited to all members of Deep Purple.

Iconic cover with the faces of the five members of the lineup in place of the four presidents carved into the rock of Mount Rushmore.

A milestone of heavy rock, which has openly influenced many classic rock and metal bands, legendary.
