This is an Italian band of young artists with great talent, active in Italian progressive rock (and in my opinion also viable internationally), made up of 4 members who play like an orchestra, endowed with great precision and taste. They manage to blend progressive rock with classical influences, basically symphonic rock, with very elegant atmospheres, sometimes jazzy and sometimes set like mini-structures with the pure song form within very complex tracks, dense with variations—another key word to define this band—that arrive unexpectedly but don’t leave you baffled; rather, they amaze, and they do all this with great mastery.
The album consists of 6 tracks: a short introductory track, two tracks around 6 minutes, three tracks ranging from 9 to over 13 minutes.

The artwork is all “lace and frills”, classic but not baroque, with an elegant “wallpaper” featuring floral friezes; this band does well to present itself like this, it represents them properly, with their detail-rich style and (I’ll say it again), full of variations on the theme that are, in my view, their hallmark. Not easy, not obvious. An album that gave me a sense of awareness in those who performed it. The Wilson Project, without saying a word, have clearly stated their presence in this wonderful world of music and Progressive Rock and I think they fit in perfectly.
I’ll definitely follow them in their next works and I’ll go listen to the previous debut album. What will it be like? I want to find out.
Highly recommended!
